Addiction Prayer Breakfast

Addiction is all over the news lately, but there are still many people without an accurate understanding of this complicated issue. Come eat a free, hot breakfast and learn about this chronic, relapsing brain disease, and the stigma and spiritual concerns surrounding it. The program is this Saturday the 5th, at Pender United Methodist Church (address at bottom.) Breakfast is served at 9am and the program will begin shortly after, lasting until about noon.

We will hear a wide variety of perspectives on the topic of addiction from family members, a nurse, a reitred police officer, and a young man in long term recovery. You will leave with an increased knowledge of the scope of this issue, what the key issues are, and what we can do about it.
