On April 17th, 2014 The Chris Atwood Foundation and the George Mason University office of Wellness (WAVES) hosted a free screening of the documentary film The Anonymous People.

The well attended event drew in students, resident advisors, and young people in recovery as well as some parents. Pizza was provided beforehand and short talks were given by Maryanne Sprouse of the GMU WAVES office and Anne Atwood, mother of Chris Atwood and co-founder of the Chris Atwood Foundation.

The screening was the first of many joint events that TheCAF and WAVES office will host together as part of our partnership working towards the foundation of a Collegiate Recovery Community at George Mason. The higher than expected attendance of the screening is proof that recovery services are badly needed on campus.

The GMU student newspaper wrote a nice article about the screening that can be viewed here.
