R.O.P.E. (Reverse Overdose, Prevent & Educate) Program
The CAF is dedicated to training the public on opioid overdose reversal and prevention through the R.O.P.E. program. The R.O.P.E. program trainings include education on how to identify someone who is in active overdose, how to reverse an overdose using naloxone, how to dispose of unused medication using a medication deactivation pouch, myths and facts surrounding substance use disorder, and steps to help someone into long term recovery from substance use disorder. Naloxone is dispensed, for free, at the end of the training.
Naloxone is a safe and effective medication that can reverse an overdose from prescription painkillers or heroin in as little as 30 seconds. If you or a loved one are taking opioids for any reason, you should have naloxone on hand.

We will mail it to you! You could save a life!
The following R.O.P.E. program trainings provided by The CAF are open to the public, but we also provide many private trainings at support groups, treatment centers, schools, hospitals, homeless shelters, and more. Due to the current pandemic most of are trainings are virtual.
If you want The CAF to perform a training for you, please email Sonya DelVecchio at sonya@thecaf.org to set one up.
